Clinical Audit: A Guide for Boards and Partners

The guide includes 10 simple rules for NHS boards and top tips on how these can be implemented. Highlighting the importance of linking actions between the board, divisions and departments. The guide describes how improvement can be implemented for each of these themes. Accompanying assurance questions at board, division and department level provide examples of weak and mature responses.

Working in Partnership: NHS and the Voluntary and Community Sector

Charity Leaders body ACEVO and the Central Southern Commissioning Support unit today promised  to work together to ensure the future of the NHS.

 

Their new report ‘Working in Partnership’ sets out seven principles to break down the perceived barriers to partnership working between health and social care commissioners and the voluntary sector.

Safeguarding Adults Board Assurance Prompt

This briefing is targeted at organisations that have a responsibility for Safeguarding Adults. It is intended to stimulate debate within NHS Boards, Local Authority Safeguarding Adults Boards and other public service partner boards. Constructive and informed dialogue encourages local health and social care economies to lay the foundations for better partnership working.

Cost Savings in Healthcare Organisations - the Contribution of Patient Safety

In February 2010 Datix published our first report with the Good Governance Institute on patient safety.  This second report intends to help board members and accountable officers understand the relationship between patient safety and resources.  With the imperative to drive waste out of the system, this report looks at the potential contributions that patient safety can make to achieving cost reductions.  It is aimed at all those on healthcare boards or commissioning healthcare services and, with the significant proposed changes to the structure of the NHS in England, the report has been prepared with an eye to the new commissioning organisations that will need to quickly develop their own thoughts about this issue.
